The religious in charge of the Getafe vocational shelter (Madrid, Spain); from the aspirantate of Guaraciaba do Norte (Ceará, Brazil); of the postulants of Franca (São Paulo, Brazil), Mexico City and Pozos de Santa Ana (San José, Costa Rica); from the novitiate of Monteagudo (Navarra, Spain); and from the center for professed in the last stage of initial formation (Las Rozas, Madrid, Spain) have met in this last house from April 20 to 25.

The objective was to reflect together on the main challenges they face as formators and to identify the formative goals for each stage so that the continuity of formation of the candidates for the Augustinian Recollect religious life can always be safeguarded.

Each one of the trainers had time to present the reality that they experience daily, both with the formative stage of management and due to the particularities of each region where the seminar is located. In addition, common protocols were created for the protection of data and the information that each trainer sends to the next stage.

The prior provincial, Carlos González, was present to encourage the formators in the task they are carrying out. He asked them to strengthen teamwork, to assume that formation must be comprehensive and that it is sought that each formandi who comes to consider religious life as their life option, does so with total commitment to both the Church and the Family. The president of the General Secretariat for Initial Formation, the Augustinian Recollect Fabián Martín, presented the Formation Plan, while discussing issues such as Vocational Ministry or the International Augustinian-Recollect Solidarity Network ARCORES. Both the prior provincial and the president of the general secretariat, in any case, thanked the formators for their work.

The meeting ended with a general evaluation of the Formators Meeting, the Statutes of the Secretariat and the objectives and purposes of the formative stages. The president of the Provincial Secretariat, Luis Diego Ramírez, who is in turn the teacher of the professed in Las Rozas, thanked everyone for their presence and work and convened the next meeting, which will be held online, in August.

In addition to living with the religious of the Las Rozas formation house, the formators took advantage of the celebration of Vocational Week 2023 to participate in a Eucharist in the Parish of Our Lady of Buenavista in Getafe (Madrid).
