The month of September entails the start-up of the educational and ordinary activities of the Fray Luis de León School of the Augustinian Recollects in Querétaro, Mexico, where the start of the new 2022-2023 academic year has included a multitude of activities for the entire school community.

The month began with special informative talks for the fathers and mothers of new students, where the educational proposal, the study plan, the center's educational project, the charismatic Augustinian Recollect aspect that permeates all school activity and doubts and questions were resolved.

Each of the four sections (Preschool, Primary, Secondary and High School) had its informative act first through virtual talks and, later, with guided tours of all the facilities where, in addition, the technical guidelines issued by the health authorities for the new school year.

There were also welcome school gatherings in which all members of the educational community participated: students, teachers, directors, families... These events were designed to promote and strengthen coexistence and mutual understanding.

In all cases, it was recalled that this is part of the same Augustinian Recollect charism and the ideology of the center, based on Christian humanism and Augustinian philosophy and values.

The Fray Luis de León School thus seeks to establish a strong alliance between the center and each of the families, promoting “good coexistence” as a common task. A direct, practical, relaxed and fraternal knowledge of all members of the educational community is necessary so that the bonds of respect, friendship and companionship last throughout the new school year.

These family gatherings were also used (organized, again, by school cycles) to promote the annual educational motto “Together” and explain the community values ​​of this center and that differentiate it from the rest.

In High School, one of the first activities of the course has been the participation in the workshops organized by the Tecmilenio University at its Querétaro Campus, as a concrete way of preparing students for the new stage that will begin at the end of the current course, the higher-level education.

On the day of Saint Nicholas of Tolentine, the center opened its doors to celebrate the day of the patron saint of the Province of the Augustinian Recollects, who is the owner of the center. It was done first in the morning with the school community and, in the evening, open to the local society.
