Maria Victoria and Mariana, religious sisters and siblings, make their perpetual vows as Augustinian Recollect nuns

On Sunday, August 15, the solemnity of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Eucharist, was celebrated together with the ritual of the solemn profession of Sister Mary Victoria of the Sacred Heart and Sister Mariana of the Sacred Heart in the Holy Trinity monastery of Augustinian Recollect Nuns, in Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, Mexico.

Fray Francisco Javier Acero, the vicar of Mexico-Costa Rica, presided the celebration and was accompanied by the chaplain, Jesús Lugo, Fray Miguel Contreras, Fray Jorge Quirós and Father Patricio Lynch. Sister María Victoria and SisterMariana, religious sisters and actual siblings, made their perpetual vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in the Order of the Augustinian Recollects. The celebration took place in the monastery’s chapel.

After the ceremony, nuns, priests, and the public tasted the food in a festive atmosphere, enlivened by mariachi, wishing congratulations to the sisters.
