San Ezequiel Moreno Augustinian Recollect Secular Fraternity Kicks off their 2019 Journey
In what has already become a tradition at the start of every new year, the San Antonio de Belén and Pozos de Santa Ana Secular Fraternities organize a gathering to share and promote greater fraternal bonds.
The event kicked off at 9 in the morning, the time everyone was convened for an exciting day ahead. Augustinian Recollect Fr. Sergio Sánchez, Province Prior, initiated the event, and alongside Secretary Fr. Benjamín Miguélez, helped to motivate attendees with an inspirational chat inviting them to be the light of the world.
The group was also joined by four Augustinian Recollect nuns, residing in Costa Rica as they await completion of the construction project of their convent in expectation of the arrival of new reinforcements from the Mexican monastery of Tecamachalco.
The gathering took place among a great number of activities, including music, games, raffles, creating a warm and inviting occasion that served as great backdrop for other business including the yearly plan, plus the motivation of the annual grand event of the Secular Fraternity, a bingo event benefiting the San Ezequiel Moreno Postulancy, to be held March 16.
Fr. Ignacio Jiménez, the Fraternity’s religious counsel arrived at about lunch time, to share the remainder of the day’s events with participants. At all of these gatherings, a generalized sense of appreciation for shared life emerges, as does the strong sense of belonging to the Augustinian Recollect Family.
