Youth Jubilee. Mexico 2025. Augustinian Recollect Youth ARY.

Coinciding with and joining the celebrations in Rome, local activities have been organized in keeping with the overall objective of the Jubilee Year. The Augustinian Recollect Youth (ARY) in Mexico have thus promoted the experience and promotion of the value of hope.

It is estimated that at least half a million young people participated in Jubilee activities in Rome throughout the week prior to the Mass; the Saturday night vigil at Tor Vergata on August 2nd drew over 800,000 people, and the Sunday Mass presided over by Leo XIV drew a crowd of one million.

In this context, young people from all over the world have joined the Jubilee Year in their local Churches. Movements like the Augustinian Recollect Youth (ARY) have taken advantage of the occasion to organize gatherings and celebrations.

On Friday, July 18, at three pm, the ARY of the Parish of the Divine Redeemer of Lomas de Casa Blanca, in Querétaro (Mexico), received the blessing of a safe journey from their advisor, the Augustinian Recollect Jorge Valdivia.

They were heading to the Rectory of Our Lady of Hope in Jalpan de Serra, in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro, to participate in the Diocesan Jubilee of Adolescents and Young People.

The program consisted of two educational talks, games, dynamics, Holy Hour, dawn rosary at five in the morning the following day and a pilgrimage starting at seven in the morning to the Sanctuary of the Holy Child of the Mezclita and Lord Santiago, where the closing Eucharist took place.

In Mexico City, at the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in the Hospitales neighborhood, the ARYs participated in a jubilee week with the youth of the II Deanery of the IV Zone of the Archdiocese of Mexico.

In addition to attending live broadcasts of events in Rome and papal addresses, they had time throughout the week for a penitential liturgy, a cultural day, a Holy Hour, and a rosary.
