New major of Guaraciaba in the Parish during the beginning of his term. January 2025.

The new members of the executive and legislative power of Guaraciaba do Norte participate in a religious ceremony on the day of their inauguration and receive prayers from Catholics and advice from the Church so that their administration is governed by justice and equality.

On the first day of 2025, after the elections held in October 2024, the civil authorities elected in the municipality of Guaraciaba do Norte, Ceará, Brazil, were sworn in their new charges.

Before the altar, prayers were directed toward the good development and work of the Executive and Legislative Branches for the benefit of the people of Guaraciaba. The image of the patron saint, Our Lady of Joys, was enthroned before the speech of the new mayor, who thanked God for the opportunity to represent the people of Guaraciaba do Norte.

The parish priest, for his part, addressed a few words to the new governors and legislators, asking them to govern “with justice and equality, looking out for the people, caring for the poor, passionate and deeply loving Guaraciaba, caring for our city, our schools, our hospital, our streets and, above all, our population.”

He asked the Catholic faithful to pray for the success of the new governors, “because this will be the success of all, helping to truly create a more just and democratic society that lives in peace and equality.”
