2025, a year to celebrate with the whole Church that we are Pilgrims of Hope

The Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee Year began on December 24 with the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Each month we will celebrate the different particular jubilees.

In January it will be the Jubilee of the World of Communication; in February those of the Armed Forces, Police and Security Forces, artists and deacons; in March the Jubilee of volunteers and that of the missionaries of Mercy; in April, that of the Sick and the world of Health, adolescents and people with disabilities; In May, workers, businessmen, musical bands, Eastern Churches, Confraternities and just at the change of month, the Jubilee of Families, children, grandparents and the elderly; and in June, the Jubilees of Movements, Associations and New Communities, of the Holy See, of sport, of governors, seminarians, bishops and priests.

In the second half of the year, between July and August, there will be the Jubilee of the youth; in September, the Jubilee of Consolation and those of the workers of Justice and catechists; in October there will be the Jubilees of missionaries, migrants, Consecrated Life, Marian spirituality and, at the change to November, that of the educational world. The impoverished and the choirs will celebrate it in November and the last will be the Jubilee of the imprisoned on December 14.

“In this new year, may we know how to go on pilgrimage, as Mary did when she visited her cousin Elizabeth, with an attentive heart and ready hands to help all those who cross our path and may need our support,” said the Prior General of the Augustinian Recollects when presenting his agenda for this jubilee year, from which we highlight some events related to our Province.

From January 12 to February 3, a training meeting has been organized in stages for religious between 29 and 40 years old in Mexico; at the end of the first month of the year, from January 20 to 28, there will be the Meeting of Communicators and Provincial Secretaries in Rome.

On March 4, the Assembly of the Federation of Contemplative Augustinian Recollect Nuns in Spain will begin in the convent of Marcilla (Navarra, Spain). Also this month, from March 18 to 23, there will be a meeting of great significance that will bring together the Augustinian Recollects, the General Council and the provincial priors, vicars and provincial delegates; the federal mothers of the female contemplative Orders and the general superiors of the female Congregations of active life. It will be in Rome.

From June 23 to 27, the Augustinian-Recollect International Solidarity Network, ARCORES, will celebrate its Jubilee of Solidarity in Rome.

The special month of preparation for solemn profession will take place this year in Mexico between July 20 and August 23. In the vacation month par excellence in the northern hemisphere, from August 3 to 10, the EDUCAR Network of educational centers of the Augustinian-Recollect Family has organized a special pilgrimage making part of the Way of Saint James.

Several communities of the Province of Saint Nicholas of Tolentine in Spain will receive the visit of renewal of the prior general; Specifically, they are Monteagudo (September 15-18), Chiclana (September 22-24), Santa Rita in Madrid (October 31 to November 1) and Las Rozas (November 6-9).

From October 13 to 17, the Coordinating Team of the Augustinian-Recollect Secular Fraternity will meet in Rome.
