ARCORES Spain has just presented and published its 2023 Report, which takes stock of the year and shows the impact that its actions have had on people and communities as a social brand of the Augustinian-Recollect Family in the world.

In its 86 pages, this report presents the organizational data (partners, institutional structure, technical office, and territorial delegations) and its effective work, focused on sponsorships, development projects, and solidarity actions. As usual in this type of documentation, the financial report is also made public, and the action plan for 2024 is presented.

In addition, ARCORES approved its 2023-2026 Strategic Plan in 2023, with four main objectives: to increase the number of cooperation projects and solidarity actions; to promote volunteering with greater contact with the Recollect ministries; to open ARCORES delegations in Panama, Guatemala, Sierra Leone, the United States, and England; and to consolidate ARCORES as the common “social brand” of the Augustinian-Recollect Family.

The report provides significant information on all the institutional collaborations carried out by ARCORES Spain in its own country through agreements, collaboration, or support for local structures such as the Plan B Foundation or the CaminAR Project in Getafe (Madrid).

One of the annual milestones of ARCORES is the celebration of its Solidarity Heart Day, in which the ministries and communities of the Augustinian-Recollect Family participate. During 2023, this campaign supported three specific projects to be presented in parishes, schools, training houses, and residences: Cartoneros in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Comprehensive protection for adolescents and pregnant young women in Guamote (Ecuador) and Phase I of the Rehabilitation and reopening of the MatulemaBa Afrika employment training center in Kamabai (Sierra Leone).

ARCORES is part of the Program for the Protection of Minors and Vulnerable Persons of the Augustinian-Recollect Family. His participation focuses on the production of materials, advice, and workshops, which he takes to educational centers, mainly throughout Spain.

ARCORES Spain has 1,293 members and collaborators after adding seven people during 2023. Through ARCORES International, its work reaches beneficiaries in 22 countries on four continents.

Regarding volunteering, during 2023, 107 people acted as volunteers for ARCORES Spain within the country, and another 16 in projects abroad: Philippines (7), Panama (4), Sierra Leone (3), and Ecuador (2).

Regarding sponsorships, ARCORES Spain has 672 sponsors who offer resources, education, food security, and finance the activities of 19 care centers for 807 beneficiaries from nine South American countries.

In 2023, ARCORES Spain has carried out 30 cooperation projects in 14 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, to which €1,394,463.86 has been allocated, and up to 40 solidarity activities, many of them dedicated to raising awareness and attracting solidarity resources, others aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable people.

In this area, total resources have increased by 7.7% compared to 2022, reaching a total of €2,097,402.61; 64% come from their activities (partners, sponsors, campaigns), and 36% from public or private subsidies obtained through an agreement or competition.
