Promotional video-CDN has changed my life

With the slogan “Boys Town has changed my life”, the City of Children held an internal event last Friday, June 21, with the aim of generating in young people and collaborators of the institution a greater sense of belonging and becoming more aware of it.

The CDN institution (Boys Town), a socio-educational center managed by the Augustinian Recollects, to achieve its objective, made available all the requirements that are required for a young person to be a candidate and enter CDN next year 2025.

The activity officially presented the promotional video that will be screened on tours, schools, and colleges, among others. The video shows what the CDN is from the point of view of young people. Along with this, the documentary that the CDN made in alliance with the FAMFLIX production family was presented, which is a Spanish-speaking streaming platform of Catholic inspiration that offers its subscribers hundreds of audiovisuals of healthy and safe entertainment, formation in values, human dimension, and faith (films, documentaries, series, courses and workshops, conferences, congresses, TV programs, musicals, and numerous materials for children).

This alliance will allow the world to visualize what the CDN really is, everything that CDN offers to young people, and testimonies of graduates, parents and young people currently residing. This alliance will have a benefit for CDN because, for each subscription, an economic percentage will be received for projects in favor of young people.

At the end of the documentary, the entry requirements and the process that is carried out for proper entry are shown. In addition to this, the director, Jesus Maria Ramos Leza, an Augustinian Recollect, addressed a few words of motivation and gratitude to all those present.

Present at the event were several special and important guests for the institution, such as Mr. Mario Redondo, mayor of Cartago, and the vice mayor Silvia Navarro Gomez, the Board of Directors and friars of CDN, representatives of Amazon, Fuerza Publica Cartago, OIJ, Heads of Social Pastoral of the Parish to which the CDN belongs, the Department of Pedagogical Advice and collaborators. The sum of efforts will contribute to CDN young people going out into Costa Rican society to be better educated.
