The Help-Strength Association, member of ARCORES, International Solidarity Network Augustinian-Recollect, held a theater show last Friday, February 9 solidarity in favor of the Saint Monica Home in Fortaleza, Brazil.

Last Friday, February 9, more than 350 people filled the Auditorium of the Getafe Professional Conservatory of Music (Madrid, Spain) to support the task of the Saint Monica Home, a social project of the Augustinian-Recollect Family in Fortaleza (Brazil) that welcomes girls and adolescents sent by the competent authorities after opening suffered some type of aggression against their fundamentals rights: abuse, violence, abandonment, exploitation, unschooling, etc.

They were invited by Help-Strentgh, an Association with offices in Madrid and La Rioja, in Spain, which raises awareness and supports the project to fight against this scourge of child abuse. This Association is a member of ARCORES, the International Solidarity Network Augustinian Recollect.

The event included the participation of the TAC amateur theater group, formed by parents, students, former students, and teachers of the Asunción Cuestablanca School, of the Religious of the Assumption, in the Hortaleza neighborhood in Madrid. They interpreted the play “On Air, The Casting of Your Life”, with great pleasure from the audience, who applauded with strength at the end of the representation.

The work is an original compendium of small stories without a beginning or end, without a knot nor the outcome, a progression of events, as if it were life itself in straight. The action took place during a casting organized by a production company television in which all kinds of personalities appear to get the role of their lives.

Also, many collaborators and friends of Help-Strentgh and Saint Monica Home, who could not attend the solidarity event in person, decided to collaborate with the well-known “Fila Cero” to make their donations.

In addition to the TAC Theater Group, it is necessary to thank the management and workers of the Getafe Professional Conservatory of Music and the NGO Image in Action, which carried out the photographic report of the event.
