The Saint Augustine High School of the Augustinian Recollects in Valladolid has presented its renewed hymn, which many generations have already been singing. I’m sure many of our readers, reading his lyrics, will be able to hum the music.
In the Primary choir of the Saint Augustine College of the Augustinian Recollects in Valladolid (Spain) are excited because they can finally publicly share the new updated version of the School anthem.
This renovation project began a decade ago and was only resumed with success in June 2023, at the end of the last year. Between recess and recess, the young voices were recorded in the sound studio that the school itself has to subsequent mixtures.
It has been an incredible experience for the choir, which has rehearsed and worked with very excited to give it to the entire Saint Augustine community, not only to its current classmates and playground companions, but to the very extensive community of former students who remain in contact with their educational center, faithful to what the lyrics of the hymn itself say: “I will never be able to say goodbye to you.”
In fact, the magic of digital music has made us hear united voices of students from the year 2014 and the year 2023, which is also a true sample of the union of the school community of all times in harmony with the Augustinian Recollects charisma that permeates the entire ideology of the center: the construction of community between people, between generations, between the same society.
The review of the arrangements has been carried out by José Antonio Herranz, one of the directors of the Saint Augustine choirs. The sound mix has corresponded to the former student and member of the Álvaro Fernández choir, who is currently a technician professional sound studio in London.
