Fray Luis de Leon High School and ARCORES. Querétaro, Mexico. Augustinian Recollects. October 2023.

Around the world day for the missions, the Fray Luis de León School of Querétaro, Mexico, led by the Augustinian Recollects, celebrated its usual missionary rosary and the “Solidarity Heart” day-ARCORES.

The activity brought together all sections of the educational center: Preschool, Primary, Secondary and High School. Students and collaborators dressed in one color alluding to the missionary rosary, they prayed together not only for the missions of the Church, but also for peace, placing emphasis on the different planetary regions hit by civil wars, international or political conflicts.

The missionary rosary had signs that showed, from a Augustinian pedagogy, the objective of pastoral activity, for which the Pastoral Coordination placed seeds around a Marian image, which reflected the action always free and providential of a God who acts in humanity to the point of transform human beings into leafy and fruitful trees. Each school section of the Fray Luis de León took a tree and promised to take care of it, knowing that each care is a reflection of a praying heart in favor of peace in the world and missions of the Catholic Church.

Once the rosary was over, the ARCORES Solidarity Heart day began. First, the students watched an informative video about the Augustinian NGO collect. Immediately afterwards, the students were encouraged to learn about the ARCORES NETWORK and to donate hygiene items to benefit the relatives of sick people who come daily to the Animation and Recovery Center for Integral Development (CARDI), managed by the Augustinian Recollects.
