On Sunday, October 15, the Saint Magdalene Secular Fraternity of Nagasaki, together with the Sint Pius X Religious Community of the city of Querétaro, Mexico, celebrated the Augustinian feast in its tenth edition, marked by fraternity and communion, and had the objectives of supporting the CARDI socio-health project, managed by the Augustinian Recollects in Mexico, and the formation of the Secular Augustinian Recollect Fraternity in a coexistence of a family atmosphere.
The Sunday Eucharistic celebration in the auditorium of the Fray Luis de León School, in Querétaro, gave the start of the day.
In this event, delicious food is offered at the stands attended by the fraternal and people who are part of the community, and a varied show is put on with groups of dancers, singers, magicians and people of good will. It is an occasion for a pleasant family coexistence.
Fray Javier Igal, spiritual advisor of the Fraternity, had active participation with great willingness for the organization, as well as the staff of the Fray Luis de León School. This year he innovated with a raffle with attractive gifts for guests and more games children who were cared for by the Augustinian Recollect Missionaries of the Parish of Lomas from Casa Blanca in Querétaro and the young people, children of the brothers of the Fraternity. Also the Augustinian Recollects Youth (ARY) from the Fray Luis de León School participated in charge of the sale of soft drinks.
The stalls were decorated by the people in charge with motifs of Augustinian saints to make attendees aware of his life and virtues. The participation of several sponsors and people from the community with a spirit of solidarity they contributed to the objective of this Augustinian Festival.
