Vocational and contact information to follow possible processes of discernment and vocational accompaniment within the Augustinian Recollect Family.
Each Augustinian Recollect has made the commitment to follow Jesus, with the aim of making known his message of joy and liberation for all the people around us.
In other words: we try to sow the seed of the Gospel in the day to day lives of the people, a message of joy and of love that we are convinced can bring joy to lives of those mistreated by this world, and fill their lungs with hope.
That’s why our work isn’t restricted to just one sphere of activity, as it might be for congregations that came into being to meet a specific need; we don’t just dedicate ourselves to teaching, to health, or to missions and social projects. Rather, we go where the Church asks us to go.
The majority of us work in parishes; we are also involved in the world of education. We don’t forget about research, and so some of us are dedicated to study and the sciences.
And we also have houses for which we have a special place in our hearts, in those places where pain, extreme poverty, sickness, social exclusion, and threats to young people are particularly obvious.
Finally, we are there in some of those remaining places in the world where traditional mission work is carried out, where the number of Catholics is very low and the Gospel is still not known.
