Costa Rica has celebrated from June 20th to 25th the 42nd National Orienteering Week under the motto “I am part of the educational process to know myself, do and do it” and the theme “The education, opportunity for self-knowledge, self-efficacy and self-realization of people”.
The Augustinian Technical College of the Children’s City, socio-educational center of the Augustinian Recollects in Costa Rica, joins this National Orientation Week every year in all educational centers in the country, sponsored by the Ministry of Public Education. For this reason, the Guidance Department of the Boy’s Town completes all a program full of playful-educational activities.
Thus, Third Cycle students participated in a contest on the three axes of the Week Orientation: self-knowledge, self-realization and self-efficacy. Together with your guide teacher they watched a video, selected one of the three values and participated in a board game focused on your selection. A group of evaluators determined the winner of each game.
For their part, the Tenth students were invited to create a video or short film that represent the impact on their lives of being members of the educational community of the City of the kids.
Eleventh grade students received a talk about decision making in the project personal life, offered by Joudy Villalobos and the company Invoca.
The twelfth grade students participated in a proposal that consisted of sending a special thanks to those people who throughout their educational process have generated a positive impact.
The Week ended with a closing ceremony in which the entire educational community participated complete, with presentations, dynamics, distribution of contest prizes and a snack.

Also on the occasion of the inauguration of this National Orientation Week, several Children’s City students belonging to rap and break dance clubs performed an artistic presentation in the act that opened this week in the facilities of the Cartago Night School, at the request of this educational center.
