The CEAR-Costa Rica closes its activities for the first semester on June 27 at the San Ezequiel Moreno seminary in Pozos de Santa Ana (San José) with a community gathering in which art, religiosity and fraternity were combined.
In the closing ceremonies a very special tribute was given to Ana Ivelice ChaconCamaño , member of the CEAR that departed six months ago to the father’s house.
A Marian liturgy was organized, which began with a few words from María Eugenia Gutiérrez , who highlighted the virtues of Ana Ivelice, her legacy as a person and the memories she left behind as a member of CEAR in Costa Rica.
The Marian liturgywas directed by Bernal Guerrero Sandi , formandi at San Ezequiel Moreno seminary, of the Augustinian Recollects. An intimate night before the feet of Mary made us reflect on the fragility of life and the greatness of imitating Mary.
Attendees enjoyed a special piece in this Marian act: the excellent interpretation of the Ave Maria fromFranz Schubert, played by the Cuban dancer Raquel Escalona, from the Dance Academy of Costa Rica.
The Augustinian Recollect Víctor González, director of CEAR in Costa Rica, not present at the event, sent a message of greeting and motivation to continue growing as a family, in that house of God which each CEAR space becomes.
Two groups, one Jazz and another Hip Hop Danzares of Costa Rica, delighted the audience with their grace, talent and joy.
Another unexpected moment was the recognition that the CEAR granted to all its team that, currently, between facilitators of different workshops, leading teams of the different groups of ARCORES-Costa Rica and liturgical supports of different nature, amounts to 62 people.
After the liturgy, acknowledgments to 165 people were given from the different human development workshops and prayer workshops.
One more closing event that is lived with gratitude, with overflowing joy, and with the pride of being part of this great CEAR-Costa Rica ministry.
In the end the participants shared delicious dishes and anecdotes, which contribute to this group being a family and that each day, better, understand the call of Pope Francis to be “creators of communion.”
The deadline to register for the next semester has already been opened. Many dream of starting over; others will continue this path of human and spiritual growth.
